Bloor St. at Yonge St. in Toronto can be considered the centre point in the city; A street laden with retail shops, offices, education centres, etc. (primarily commercial establishments that need regular cleaning).
As Bloor St. is a major east to west road; starting in the east by the west side of Don Valley (Parkway) / Bloor Viaduct bridge and continues for 2 km / 1.3 mi. in an westerly direction as Bloor St. E. while intersecting with the following north-south main roads: (from west to east) Church St., Jarvis St., Sherbourne St., and Parliament St. (Danforth Ave. is the continuation of Bloor St. E. and starts on the other side of the bridge by Broadview Ave. to continue to Kingston Rd. in the east end of the city.
Bloor St. W. starts at Yonge Street and continues for 16 km / 10 mi. in a westerly direction to and beyond the Toronto – Mississauga border. It intersects the following north-south main roads: (from east to west) Yonge St., Bay St., University Ave. / Avenue Rd., Spadina Ave. / Spadina Rd., Bathurst St., Ossington Ave., Dufferin St., Lansdowne Ave., Roncesvalles Ave., Parkside Dr. / Keele St., Runnymede Ave., Jane St., Royal York Rd., Islington Ave., Kipling Ave., The East Mall, Highway 427, and The West Mall. As Bloor St. continues into Mississauga it becomes (again) Bloor St. E. and on the west side of Hurontario St. becomes Bloor St. W. again.
