Just under 2 kilometres or just over a mile of primarily shops and office space on the ground floor with residences and more offices atop, the street starts in the south where both Queen St. W. and King St. W. venture eastwards, The Queensway westwards, and Roncesvalles Ave. north to Dundas St. W.; a four-way intersection from where one can gaze out past the Boulevard Club and Sunnyside Pavilions to across Lake Ontario and where on a clear day when looking to the south-west one can see the mist rising from Niagara Falls. High Park Blvd. and Howard Park Ave. intersect enroute north to Dundas St. W.
The east side of Roncesvalles Ave. the street has mixed residential and commercial land use while the west side extending westwards to Parkside Ave. / Keele St. is mainly residential and includes several churches.
