As one of the main thoroughfares in central downtown Toronto the roadway runs from Queens Quay in the south, by Lake Ontario, to Davenport Ave. in the north, a distance of 3.7 km / 2.3 mi. From south to north, Bay Street passes through the following downtown neighbourhoods: Harbourfront, The Financial District, past the City Hall and the east side of Chinatown, College Park to finish at Bloor – Yorkville. Bay St. and intersects the following main east to west roads (from south to north) Queens Quay W., Front St. W., King St. W., Queen St. W., College St. Wellesley St. W., Bloor St. W. and Davenport Rd.

Bay Street Toronto has a financial markets theme with a heavy concentration of office towers; This area is alive 24 hours; office workers during the day and office cleaners in the evening and nighttime. Canada’s largest office building: First Canadian Place, is located on Bay St. commanding the city block bounded also by King. St. W., York St. and Adelaide St. W. and, is 72 stories high and has an impressive 2.8 million sq. ft. of offices, banking, shopping complex and parking; it’s part of the PATH, an underground network of shops from Front St. W. north to Dundas St. much of which travels under Bay St. Toronto’s recent condo boom has resulted in many high-rise buildings, primarily located on these main streets; BUBBLES & SQUEAK Inc. cleans common areas of condominiums as well.
