As the map of Mississauga shows, being a major metropolis of Canada, the roadways are patterned in a grid fashion with major streets running east to west and north to south. While the streets contained within the quadrants are primarily residential, the main thoroughfares are of a commercial theme populated by offices, shops, restaurants, medical practices (doctors, dentists, labs, etc.), dealerships, gyms, hospitals and churches.

When we view the map of businesses registered with the city we see a heavy concentration of commercial activity along the east-to-west main streets of Lakeshore Blvd. E. & Lakeshore Blvd. W. and Dundas St. E. & Dundas St. W. plus along Hurontario St. The south-to-north stretch between The Queensway and Dundas St. E. on Cawthra Rd. is also a commercial district with offices to clean, as is the area around Dixie Rd. and Dundas St. E.
